There is no denying the overwhelming evidence, zebra print is my favourite.
I’M CALLING IT: ZEBRA PRINT IS MY FAVOURITE
One print that has little by little taken hold in my wardrobe in a big way is zebra print. I have it on bags, shoes, skirts, tops and even a jumpsuit. I think the love for this print really took off for me after seeing so many zebra while on safari in South Africa last year. Oh yeah, that happened, and I’ve yet to finish editing the photos and putting that all together to share with you all. Hmm, I guess I have to pop that back on top of my to-do list.
Perhaps those two 1000-piece puzzles I absorbed myself in on the Easter weekend were examples of time better spent elsewhere. Though, I tell you what, doing them made me happy. So all in all, I have no regrets. If you have been doing puzzles, let me know! I know I am not the only one. My favourite part? (I’m getting off topic here…) is intentionally not looking at the picture on the box and trying to fit the pieces in based on colour, shape and pattern. I love challenging my brain to solve those puzzles and allow one piece to inform the next.
But I’ve digressed.
Are everywhere and not going away quickly. I’ve scrolled through collections from just about every designer and despite many pieces being in the sale section, so too are new arrivals. From every designer. I mean, I am NOT the only one obsessed with the zebra print. Or the tiger print, because I swear they have them labeled as one on one website and another on a different site and really the prints are about the same. As with the leopard or cheetah print, what I love is when a designer takes a classic animal print and alters the pattern to be their own in some way. I think that really elevates the design, makes it look more expensive (though let’s face it, some of them just plain are expensive.)
Below, is a little edit of some of the coolest zebra print pieces I’ve spotted across various price points.

WEAR IT WITH TONAL ACCESSORIES
I’ve shared this tonal accessories example back here last month, with a silk zebra print shirt and matching baguette bag. I have opted for the same feel with this jumpsuit outfit too. The jumpsuit is a beige and navy stripe, so I went for a navy cross-body bag and kitten heels. Since these three items arrived, all of which are from Boden (I LOVE Boden so much!), I’ve worn them a bunch at home. (Seriously though, can I move to London and design for Boden!? I could finally put my design degree to use again!).
We shot these photos one afternoon near our apartment when the area was quiet. For me, it’s been a comfortable jumpsuit on the never-ending hot days. Wearing linen is one of the best fabrics when the temperatures are high.
I would love to have had the chance to wear this look to a garden party or maybe sunset drinks somewhere here while it was still warm. It feels casual and breezy but with the kitten heel a little more dressy too. These beautiful stappy heels also come in a classic red. Actually, so too does the jumpsuit, in a dusty red paisley print. I could seriously see myself in that look too!
THE MOST HANDY CROSS-BODY BAG FOR WHEN YOU NEED SOMETHING SMALL
I love any outfit like this that can go from day to night, casual to dressy and still feel relaxed and chic. The cross-body bag actually came with a bright coloured removable bag strap so I swapped it with another. It isn’t a perfect match, but I’m not opposed to mixing navy and black. The coloured strap is fun but maybe more casual than I was going for. I’d pair it with a white sneaker for a more casual look. The bag also comes in red and is just so handy. I love that small pouch-like shape which can easily fit my phone, cards, keys and a hand sanitser. I’ve used it when I’ve gone to the supermarkets or on a walk. Right now a bag isn’t something we are likely to use much, certainly not a big one. So having a handy one like this to carry essentials has been brilliant.

Below are a few of the other zebra prints in my wardrobe. Or, sorta zebra print sorta tiger print maybe? Either way, they are ball-park animal prints with stripes. And I love them!
