Days with my Fit Club Perth squad and visits to Yoga Alchemy.
I know that over the course of this year, when I look back, I feel like I will be most excited to remember the trip we are on and the friendship that I have grown with my Fit Club Perth co-founders. From seeing one another at events to chatting online all the time to brunches and finally working together to form FCP, it has been a big year. I am so proud to observe how these guys are growing and excited to see where we can take our FCP concept when I am back in Australia. Already on our travels I miss these guys and I felt my strength training head out the window with each holiday bite of a treat.
As the girls attended the Fitness Expo (#fomo moment!), I decided to hit the hotel gym and have since been making the effort to jog (I am not much of a runner) around the mountains and spots we are staying in. Of course, something I can do anywhere is yoga.
The night before we flew out we were due to leave at 4am, and given I still hadn’t packed and had a ton of things to go through and catch up on, I decided just to stay awake and sleep on our flights (which I managed! Win!). Somewhere around 3am, after packing and cleaning the house, I got super fidgety and decided to spend half an hour doing some yoga. It made me feel comfortable, confident and a whole lot more prepared to head into 24 hours of flight and stopover time.
I am so glad that in the weeks prior to leaving I spent time going to yoga classes. One of which was here at Yoga Alchemy on William Street in Northbridge with my FCP squad. We were treated to a yoga session as a part of our stay with The Alex Hotel and had heard nothing but good things about the studio from our friends at the Perth Lululemon store. The top floor studio was as bright and calming as I had hoped and the session felt amazing. I know I will be keen to head in when I get back and am ready to settle for a little while.
