All for beautiful sweaters and knits for the transitional weather. In case of chilly weather, opt for a cool knit.
WHAT I’VE BEEN WEARING ON THE WEEKEND
Yes, I am posting this mid-week but I really wanted to share some knitwear love and a little about what I’ve been wearing on the weekend. As we slowly make our way out of a rainy winter and transition into spring, I’m still all about knits and sweaters. My knitwear shelves seem to get fuller and fuller, but I am not complaining. Style a cool cosy knit with jeans, tucked into trousers or over a slip skirt, they are effortless and lush. And I cannot say no! My Mum still knits every day, I can entirely thank her for my appreciation of knits.
On the weekend I tend to be off to the farmer’s markets, basket in hand, comfy jeans, and shoes are a must. So too, is a nice knit, be it a top like the Polo Ralph Lauren one I picked up earlier this year and have on here or another cosy long sleeve knit sweater.
SWEATERS AND KNITS
This edit of beautiful sweaters and knits on Shopbop had me drooling, there are so many gorgeous pieces. Incredible cardigans, patterned knits, cropped sweaters, wrap tops the list goes on. I’m loving seeing more short sleeve knit tops, some with cute puff sleeves or sleeveless as alternatives for that in-between weather. Equally too, there have never been so many cool cardigans around! I’m saving so many to my wish list that it is about time I shared some of the love.
Below find my edit of just a handful of knits I’ve spotted to wear on the weekend or anytime to get through the in-between days. I’ve been loving playful colours, prints, and patterns which are great to pair with jeans and flats for the day and dress up with a low-fuss heel at night.
THE CARDIGAN EDIT
Cardigans have definitely just gotten cooler and cooler. Think crop length options, v-neck and scoop neck options, interesting buttons, extra pattern, appliqué, and even two-tone styles. I can not get enough. I love pairing them with a casual jeans look, tucking long ones in. Then cropped cardigans over a silky slip skirt or dress? Perfection.
THE KNIT TOP EDIT
Honestly, knits tops are just about the coolest thing to wear with a pair of jeans and a cute heel for a night (or day!) out. I love the cool variations that have been coming out with twist and wrap details, interesting patterns and figure-enhancing cuts.
THE SWEATER EDIT
For the most part through our mild winters, I wear knit sweaters and don’t often need a coat unless I go out early or late. I love wearing a bulkier knit jumper over a slinky dress or skirt, tucked into a leather skirt or all cosy over jeans. Dress them up or down, go minimal or all out, I love a soft knit.
HOW HAVE YOUR WEEKEND DAYS BEEN?
Man, I’ve been trying to get back into blogging more often lately but between my moments of writer’s block and enthusiasm for creating video content, I’ve not been sharing as much as I would like, still. And, yet I know I’ve been saying this a lot. Thank you again for visiting, I hope you will stop back again soon. Today I am sharing this, drafting a couple of other posts and heading along to the first event in over six months, where I’ll also be doing an IG takeover. All systems go!
I’d love to hear how you are going and what your recent weekends have been like? Are you still in some version of lockdown or free to roam? I’m looking forward to hearing from you. Have you discovered any new rituals for your weekends or are things back to normal now? Mine have been mostly spent as they were before, but I appreciate going out and staying in a lot more.
