Anytime a versatile denim shirt is involved, it’s fair to say the results will be fairly effortless.
EFFORTLESS DENIM STYLE
When it comes to one of my most effortless looks yet, pairing a versatile denim shirt with anything is one way to go. Honestly, they are such a neutral staple that I am not surprised that some of mine have been hanging in my closet for a number of years now.
Let’s not disclose that number, deal?
Whenever I am standing in front of my wardrobe with that horrible feeling of ‘what do I wear‘ or worse ‘do I even like any of these things??’ I know that I can fix the situation quick smart with a denim shirt. I have them in a few different shades- the light chambray right through to dark. Pull one on and most of the equation is sorted.
Another versatile piece, I love having a maxi skirt like this up my sleeve for warm days. It is easily dressed up, but the denim shirt keeps it effortless in just the right way.
OTHER WAYS TO WEAR THE MOST VERSATILE SHIRT EVER
Ah, so if you have been an Inspiring Wit reader for a while, you will be pretty familiar with my constant rotation of all things denim. Either way, here are some flashbacks of how I pair a denim shirt with a denim mini skirt, with matching denim jeans, with denim shorts, or with a cotton mini skirt. I could go on. See what I mean about being versatile?
BE BOLD! DOUBLE DENIM
If you have any qualms about wearing denim on denim still, just go with it and ignore the sniggers from anyone who is so backwards when it comes to style that they are still sniggering. It’s been street style acceptable for some time now, so be bold! You will feel comfortable, look put together, and you can pair your denim shirt with so many different things that you will be a smart investor too. Hey, if it is good enough for a glam street style queen like Olivia Palermo, you can double denim too.
Too casual? Opt for a favourite heel, an eye-catching handbag or jewellery.
