Target at 2014 Telstra Perth Fashion Festival
Invited guests crammed into Fashion Central last weekend to catch a glimpse of the Target Runway, showing Spring collections for men, women and kids whilst also featuring the Dannii Minogue for Target Petites Collection. As the tent filled up fast, crowds formed outside. I have a sneaking suspicion that pop sensation, Samantha Jade may have attracted a few people who may otherwise skip the runway. As it so happens, the collections were nothing if not wearable, bright and exciting. Target have indeed taken a turn in a fashion forward direction, creating accessible and affordable pieces.
Showcasing wearable trends from corporate, to casual and occasional dressing, the Target collections have obviously been meticulously improved. Focusing on creating exciting runway looks that are directly shop-able, Target showed exactly how to style each look. Some of the styles are designed to reflect trends seen on the runways of NYC, Paris and Milan, meaning inspired styles are available in store weeks later. The beauty of shopping with Target is that you can stretch your dollar further by styling one of their pieces with your vintage or designer pieces. Target are all about quality testing (we have all seen those ads!) so you know that ‘buying affordable’ will guarantee long wear.
For me, I am all about those hot pink shorts and the Dannii Minogue for Target Petites black jumpsuit. In only a matter of weeks (October 8) the new Missoni for Target collection drops in store, as a bit of a Missoni home fan, I am looking forward to that! I am still getting through my TPFF coverage, so I will be sharing a little more next week. As you will know I love to make videos, so I am working on a couple from the runways. Stay tuned!
