My latest favourite in my Realisation Par dress collection, the Kate dress in Blossom is the coolest I’ve worn in a long time.
WHY I AM STILL SUCH A BIG REALISATION PAR FAN
I am a huge fan of the Realisation Par dresses. You have seen them on my Instagram and here on Inspiring Wit a lot! In fact, if you have missed any of the looks, find the links to each blog post below. Everyone is always asking me about them. Still. Years after the brand launched and took Instagram by storm. I love that they are all about creating the kind of dresses you will want to wear over and over. Timeless pieces that don’t come in and out of trends are obviously more sustainable. Of course, the most sustainable way to wear your clothes is to wear them over and over and shop for things that you know you will actually wear over and over. For me, Realisation Par achieves this effortlessly.
Clearly, the popularity has yet to die down for Realisation Par. In fact, more of you than ever find your way onto Inspiring Wit looking for Realisation Par dresses. So, I thought it was about time I shared my newest dress. Before you ask, no, I am not at all paid to talk about them. I wish!
SALE CODES AND DELIVERY
To save $$, I generally wait until the sale days and place an order for a couple of dresses at once. The postage costs are steep so the sale codes tend to knock a bit of the cost down and buying more than one saves in postage fees. The postage is via a courier and very quick thank goodness! Each dress arrives in about a week or less. Most of the time they also have free shipping if you spend over $300.00 so keep that in mind. Right now they are having a flash sale. Use the code EQUINOX for 25% off of everything.
REALISATION PAR THE KATE DRESS IN BLOSSOM
The Kate is a delicate silk crepe deep v-neck, waisted dress with billowing bell sleeves with a covered button cuff closure. It has a full, double-layered silk skirt, which might be a tiny bit short for anyone over 5’9 (I am 163 cm for reference, so 5’4). The Kate comes in more than one print but I ordered it in the Blossom. A cooler than cool black print with super cute flower details. As soon as I saw this print, I was obsessed.
The Blossom print also comes in their other styles the Naomi Skirt, The Julia Dress, and The Pheobe slip dress. But I was all about this long sleeve mini! I knew this cut would be perfect with just about every shoe style I could possibly want to wear it with. And I was right. When it arrived, I tried it on with about ten pairs of shoes, loving every option. Sneakers, sandals, ankle boots, low heel sandals, high heel sandals and pumps, knee-high boots, and so on. Let’s just say, it gives you options to show off your footwear.
FABRIC AND SIZING
Thanks to the cut of the skirt on this one, it doesn’t fly up as much as the Alexandria wrap dresses do, meaning I can opt for it on a gusty day. Since I happen to live in one of the windiest cities in the world (love that for me) this is something I have to keep in mind. I give these silk dresses a light steam to take out the creases from postage and they are good to go. They don’t tend to hold onto creases when travelling or during wear. Plus, these dresses roll up small so I end up packing all of them on my travels! Whenever I can travel that is. Lately that has mostly been for road trips but the same thing applies.
Sizing-wise, I got the Kate dress in the XS. As with all of the Realisation Par dresses, they are a little roomy on me across the bust, but I have a small bust. (Love that for me too! haha). Across the waist and shoulders, this is the perfect size for me and length-wise it is just right. For reference, I am usually an Australian size 6, US 0, or French 34.
I love the silk crepe sooooo much. It all just feels effortless and makes me confident. I’d chalk that up to the cut, the fact that it is lined and such a cool dress! One last note, I dry clean these pieces only. As instructed on the care labels. None have stretched or changed shape. I wouldn’t recommend hand washing.
ALL OF MY REALISATION PAR COLLECTION
Missed a review? There are a ton of them. I will leave the links below. And actually, I realise that I’ve yet to review The Alba dress too, which I ordered late last year. I’ll aim to get that review up asap so you don’t miss the sales. Cause, to be honest, I would have done things differently for that one. The sizing was a little off for me. I did talk about it in a YouTube haul video late last year, so watch that one for the details in the meantime.
