A brand focus on Australian activewear and sports streetwear brand P.E Nation.
Loooong time no activewear or fitness related post! To be honest with you, early last year I cleared out my wardrobe I found I had more than enough activewear. So, I stopped working with brands to try any new activewear ranges out and stopped buying any new activewear of my own. There were a few bags worth that I donated to friends and women’s shelters too. For the most part, I kept pieces from Lululemon, plus a couple from The Upside and Grana.
In terms of performance, I still love the fabrics and cuts from Lululemon the most. However, I do find that their colour palette and prints or patterns aren’t very me. So, 90% of my activewear is Lululemon in either black or grey. It’s kind of boring but suits me- it gets the job done. I have never had to replace anything I’ve worn from Lululemon over the past six or more years despite multiple wears per week. Impressive!
Having said all of that, when I got a message from the guys at P.E Nation asking me if I wanted to try out any of their pieces I said yes quickly. I have been watching P.E Nation release collection after collection of very cool activewear and sports streetwear for years. Since I had enough, I’d not bought any pieces yet, despite being tempted many times. So, the set I’m wearing was very kindly gifted to me and I am sold! The quality is so impressive!
After shooting these photos the other morning, I headed to the gym for my workout. In terms of performance, I can’t fault these. I had no issues with the stretch, they are comfortable and didn’t slip down or ride up, etc. The great news is that the Australian brand is stocked on some of my favourite international sites as well as throughout Australia. Find them on Shopbop and Net-A-Porter or in Australia in boutiques and David Jones.
