Arguably the easiest outfit to put together this spring and summer! My no-fail midi skirt outfit.
After sharing way too many photos in my last blog post, I ran out of room to share the beloved OOTD! So here we are because I couldn’t leave you hanging! This is what I wore to the recent Jardan Perth showroom opening. How old school fashion blogger am I right now? I feel like it had been so very long between events or anything exciting to check out that had to. Had to bring my camera along and get snap-happy. Check. Just had to show off this outfit. Check check. And here we are, blogging the whole thing. Check check check!
I wouldn’t have it any other way.
MY NO-FAIL MIDI SKIRT OUTFIT
It photographs quite yellow, but it is almost exactly the same colour as the famed Realisation Par Naomi Wild Things skirt. Reviewed here. Why buy two the same? I think the design of the Anine Bing skirts in this style is better. Plus I was wearing my Realisation Par skirt all the time. I wanted essentially to find something the same but different. You know what I mean?
Anyway, given we are heading into warmer months, I wanted to add a couple of new printed midi skirts to my collection. The second one being from the UK brand Rixo. I find these types of skirts so versatile, effortless, and chic. Honestly, I lean on them heavily when I don’t want to wear pants or jeans or a dress. Silk elevates the look while being lightweight. Pairing them with just about any top or jacket combo is a no-fail outfit. This time around I went with another Anine Bing piece, the organic cotton tank top.
THE DETAILS TO FINISH THE OUTFIT
As for the details, I opted to pair this skirt with my favourite slingback low heels, a bit of a statement bag, and a chain necklace. The necklace is a new arrival from APM Monaco, who I find myself wearing a lot these days. They always seem to come out with cool, often quirky jewellery that adds a little something more interesting to my outfits. Similarly, this Tohum shell bracelet which Mario gifted me for my birthday adds a summery detail.
Whenever I put together an outfit that I see myself repeating, I love to mix up the accessories. The details make all the difference but at its core, a comfortable and cool midi skirt like this is a great investment.
