In this Autumn Lookbook I’ve put together twenty outfits for inspiration. Across different categories, the looks are all easy to recreate.
MY AUTUMN LOOKBOOK ’21
Over on my YouTube channel I’ve just shared an epic Autumn Lookbook with 20 outfit ideas. Yep, 20. That was a lot of changes on a hot day! Below are three of my favourite looks from the video. Throughout, I chose bits and pieces that are easy to find staples to build into a bit of a capsule wardrobe. Some of the pieces have been with me for a few years, some longer. Fun fact, one look included the same pants I wore in my first outfit blog post. And they are vintage.
The looks cover a bunch of categories for all sorts of occasions. I am drawn to those classic brown and tan tones but also olive green tones for the autumn season. In years past I was all about red and yellow, but this time I’ve stuck to neutrals. I figure they are the most versatile, easy to find and always flattering.
BROWN & TAN TONES
My first look and go-to at the moment. I adore brown and tan tones and was so happy to find this beautiful Anine Bing knit. I’m seeing a lot of cute short sleeve knits and knit tops in stores, they make a great autumn knit.
LEATHER / VEGAN LEATHER
One other category I had to include was leather/ vegan leather. Fresh for autumn days but perfect to transition into winter, I have seen leather items as investments. Over the years, I’ve managed to find some amazing vintage pieces that I have never gotten rid of.
Of course, my final category had to be knee-high boots. For years, I resisted long boots because I wasn’t sure how I’d wear them. So I had to make sure I included the two pairs I’ve gotten in over the last few months.
