There are times where I just want to pull all of my favourite things out of my wardrobe and pile them on. This was one of those times.

JUST ADD A BLAZER

As you may have already caught on my IGTV channel, I recently styled this particular check blazer six ways. This wasn’t one of the looks, so let’s call it the seventh. In terms of versatility, the check blazer was one of the most helpful additions to my closet. With a little more going on than a plain non-printed blazer, it mixes things up and essentially, if you choose your pattern, colours and cut can express personal style. I also revealed in the styling video that I own six check blazers. Not exactly sticking to the capsule minimal edit there, am I? While it’s a little bit overkill, (and I have given at least three on top of this away to friends) they do get a lot of wear.

Undeniably, blazers are something that adds polish. I wear them over a hooded jumper or graphic tee and feel instantly more put together but cool. So when I say ‘just add a blazer’ I mean it. haha, there are few things I won’t wear them over!

SOME OF MY FAVOURITES

There are so many brands and stores that make good throw over anything blazers! Some of my favourites are Anine Bing, EverlaneVeronica Beard, Mango and Pixie Market. Below is an edit of some of my favourites out at the moment. Spend a little or invest, depending on your budget. Personally, I tend to invest (though, not always) because I find myself holding on to a decent blazer and wearing it a lot for years. My old faithful black one which served me for about nine years just began to fall apart so I’ve sadly replaced it. And that blazer got more wears than most other outerwear pieces I’ve ever owned.
