I wanted to have a word about being adventurous.
I have to admit that when I saw the release of the H&M Studio collection for Spring/ Summer I was head over heels. Now, I will point out that the majority of my wardrobe colour scheme is neutral based, however, when a little colour sneaks in every now and again I kind of love it. Not for all the time, but it does make me happy to wear something a little more eye catching.
Perhaps there is a little more adventure involved.
“H&M Studio for spring/summer 2016 is an adventure in style. Our girl is always exploring, whether she’s on the city streets or on the trip of a lifetime. She mixes function with femininity, sportswear with pieces for a party, and whatever she wears she always looks effortless,” says Pernilla Wohlfarth, H&M’s head of design.
There is a time to have your head down and get your work done but there is always room for that little spark of daring too. For me, this jacket was exactly the right bold, bright and warm piece to throw into the mix for Autumn. It has some kind of 70’s serious grove that made even my Mum exclaim “hey, I love that!” which is rare since we are polar opposites in style most of the time. I do appreciate some of the 70’s cuts and colours she was queen of though. Nicely played Mum, nicely played.
I wanted to share this look with you guys from the collection (and another I have to follow suit) because it is okay to break even your own rules. Think you will never wear orange? Perhaps instead think of wearing adventure. Game?
