This is one formula for travel or every day. My graphic tee style formula that never fails.

KIND OF A NO-BRAINER
This is a no-brainer blog post and style post, as I am sure you all realise just how handy having a graphic tee is to have in your back pocket/wardrobe. Actually, this is a staple item I have talked about on a regular basis (see last time back here). They are just so easy and so cool. I do have a bit of a graphic tee style formula that I tend to stick to with them that makes packing for travels or just grabbing an outfit and heading out the door in a hurry super easy. Like I said, a no-brainer.
IN THE HEAT OF THE MOMENT
Before I go much further, I just wanted to point out how guilty I feel looking over these photos about one detail in particular. I’d landed in Adelaide a couple of days earlier for Christmas (in fact, this Anine Bing graphic tee was my Christmas present!). It was hovering around the 35-40 degree mark, which I’d not really noticed until we got out and about into the sun.
This outfit didn’t get much wear on that actual day, it was more for the opportunity to shoot photos. However, as soon as we got out to shoot, I was melting and so glad for a bit of shade and a bit of water.

This tiny, single-use plastic bottle I’d taken with me from the plane, popped into my bag and forgotten about until that moment. So, it absent-mindedly became a prop. To cut to the point, I HATE single-use plastic and am always avoiding it wherever possible. I carry my water bottle around everywhere with me but didn’t bring it on this trip as I should have done.
While you might not think much of it, I am looking at these photos thinking I have to make sure I pack my water bottle in the future. Furthermore, we discussed a few times that we have to get into the habit of bringing our keep cups for coffee with on trips too. We do at home if we are heading out to meet a friend or grab coffee out.

MY ANY TIME OF YEAR GRAPHIC TEE STYLE FORMULA
Take a graphic tee of your choice and mix and match with classic staples for an easy style formula. Any time of the year, I can wear these and know I am put together and feel confident.
DENIM
All kinds of denim come with me on any of my travels. I probably reach for a denim bottom too often, but it works, I feel comfortable and they are my staples. Skirts, shorts, jeans of all cuts, it all works the same way.
BOOTS
Even in summer (and on 40 degree days), I am a boots girl. Always will be. These Isabel Marant boots were also a Christmas present and I am so in love with the classic low heel and pointed toe. Black boots are again my staples, so naturally, make it into my formula. I am loving all of the amazing western style boots around at the moment. Drool!
GOLD NECKLACES
The thing about graphic tees is that adding layers of gold necklaces over the top make them feel less casual. Once I have popped them on, I feel more put together and I feel like they easily add personality to an outfit. Particularly if you have collected each one and they come with a bit of a story.
FAVE BAG
I couldn’t leave out a killer bag to tie the look together. My dream bag from Proenza Schouler has just the right amount of mixed metals to tie in the stud details on my boots with the gold jewelry. Of course, I could really wear any bag with this look, given it is pretty simple.
CLASSIC SUNGLASSES
Again, I am just reaching for my old faithful’s here, these are the classic Ray-Ban’s I wear the most, as they feel cool with anything. Classics for a reason.
To mix things up, I am really thinking I should make an investment in a really beautiful leather belt that I can wear over and over for years to come. I own about four belts, two being vintage that I love but they don’t tend to be the right thing so I don’t wear them often. They all happen to be coloured, so I think I need a black one. This YSL belt has caught my eye, please let me know what you think. Should I save up and invest?
