Because the gingham skirt was never going to be enough.

THE GINGHAM TOP

I have broken my own rules and fallen for another trend piece! Though, a classic in its own right, gingham is everywhere right now and though I already picked up a ruffled gingham skirt (see back here), I also needed a top (or two!). I had almost bought this top weeks ago at the same time as the skirt, but thought I was going over board and decided against it.

We can all see how that panned out.

While it is still hovering around the 30 degree mark for us (feeling a lot more like spring), this breezy cotton shirt is the perfect thing to wear. I also find this style flattering for many body shapes, so if you are on the look out for a fresh new top, find my picks of the bunch below.

A LITTLE UPDATE FROM ME

This week I decided to take a little time to step back and take some online courses and work on some other exercises. While it has been a long time between both of my Uni degrees, it always strikes me as important for my own growth and development to take on a few online tutorials, classes and exercises to re-fresh my mind. Though I work on content creation and digital marketing strategy / development both for my own brand and freelance for others, it is good to take a step back and mix things up. No matter what, I always feel like taking time out to learn and re-evaluate gives me a broader perspective and more often than not, a greater drive toward what I want to achieve.

Of course, this means I have had less time to keep my blog updated for you guys, but ultimately, it also means I have some greater things planned and a fresh vision. I wanted to share this with you and possibly inspire you to think about spending a day every now and again doing an online course. Some I have been enjoying are over on Azalle and Skillshare.

Do you ever take online courses? Found a good one to share? Let me know below!
