I knew you would all want to know a little more about THAT breakfast! At Flora and Fauna Cafe in Northbridge for one of the best breakfasts in Perth.

Flora and Fauna are a small boutique cafe hidden away in Northbridge, serving locally roasted coffee (apparently it is delicious- some of the girls had more than one cup!), raw treats and beautifully plated healthy breakfasts.

I opted for a green tea and the Canadian style French Toast, complete with berries, delicately sliced fruits, almonds, toasted coconut flakes and of course a sprinkling of flowers. I am happy to tell you that it tasted as good as it looked! If I am going to eat French Toast (cooked in a sweet egg mixture), why not with a side of fresh fruit salad?! This dish is also served with a side of traditional Canadian maple syrup (as in the real deal- not just the ‘maple flavoured’ syrup we plebs grew up on in Australia), which added a little extra flavour and sweetness (not that it needed a lot!). If you do make a date right away to have next weekends brunch at Flora and Fauna, make sure someone on your table orders this! It is far too pretty not to be ordered for one, but it tastes incredible too.

My fellow bloggers Adelle, Emily and Monique ordered the Bruschetta- three varieties of tomato on a gluten free quinoa loaf, the Lupin Felafel and the Herbed Smashed Avocado Toast. Each dish looked stunning, but also tasted great from what they told me.

Tucked away off of Aberdeen Street, this place is worth seeking out and a great addition to the Perth brunch map!
