My review of the whole Fenty Skin range

My full review of the Fenty Skin range and everything you need to know!

My honest review of Fenty Skin

Hold the phone, I have something new to share and heads up, I am loving it!

It’s been a little while since I’ve shared a skincare review, let alone a new brand! Since late last year, I have had the pleasure of trying Fenty Skin. I was kindly sent a pr package with the full Fenty Skin range. It included a cleanser, a two-in-one toner and serum, a day, and a night moisturiser. Later I was sent the eye cream too. I’ve shared a full review with my skincare routine over on my YouTube channel, in which I go into all the details of the ingredients and benefits. Find the link to the review video here. Key points to note are outlined below, but I will begin by pointing out how affordable this range is for the quality of ingredients. So impressed! It’s definitely a range that’s been created with inclusivity in mind.

The first thing about Fenty Skin that I noticed was the streamlined packaging, which avoids excess packaging, everything is recyclable and a number of the products are refillable. I loved that attention to earth-conscious packaging. Reading the press release, it included a few quotes from Rihanna, who notably has incredible skin. She says that wasn’t always the case. As a teen, she was overwhelmed with all of the skincare options out there. When she was younger, she even tried a product that discolored her skin, which scared her from trying anything else for a long time. With Fenty Skin she’s prioritized clean formulas that are also vegan and gluten-free.

Another thing I noticed, was that the routine is designed to be multi-tasking but to keep things simple too. There aren’t tons of confusing and time-consuming steps. Personally, if I am low on time or tired at night, I tend to skip those extra steps in a more complicated skincare routine. In streamlining the process with Fenty Skin, I’ve been keeping on top of my routine. Plus I really look forward to it too, as I love these products. Let’s unpack that…

What you need to know about Fenty Skin

Wash with the multitasking Total Cleans’r Remove-It-All Cleanser that also removes makeup. This one is a deep cleaning cleanse with a creamy lather that removes dirt, oil, and long-wear makeup without stripping or drying. It purifies pores and helps fight shine. Made with antioxidant-packed Barbados cherry loaded with more vitamin C than an orange to help brighten. Ginkgo Biloba, a tree commonly used in ancient Chinese healing techniques; helps control oil and clarify skin while antioxidant-rich Green tea and Fig help defend against environmental stressors.

The cherry and coconut scent is just beautiful, encouraging me to use it more! It makes my skin feel deeply clean without being stripped or dry. It helps even out the shine issues I have from having combination skin with an oily forehead. Ultimately I love this cleanser, I think it’s now in my top three cleansers of all time. It’s lasted so long, I’ve used it up to twice a day and it still feels half full! It’s great value for money and a great place to start in the skin care range.

Another multitasker, the Fat Water Pore Refining Toner Serum. This is a toner and serum in one, which helps refine the look of pores and reduce the look of dark spots, and even out your skin tone while fighting shine. Fat Water is made with Niacinamide which helps reduce the look of those dark spots and evens out your skin tone. Australian Lemon Myrtle and Witch-hazel Water helps reduce oil production and refines the look of pores. It has Japanese Rasin Tree which has been used for a recovery and detoxification treatment for tired skin. And cactus flower helps to boost moisture.

I find this to be the least scented product in the range, it goes into the skin beautifully and I have been loving it too. In combination, my skin has been hydrated and clear, so I can attribute this range as a whole to that feeling.

My skin after trying Fenty Skin

The products I finished first! Both of the moisturisers I finished within a few days of one another. There are two moisturisers in the Fenty Skin range, one for the day and one for overnight. Both are of course different, offer optimal hydration, and come in refillable packaging. You simply buy the refills in the future and make sure to hold onto the outer casing.

Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturiser Broad Spectrum SPF30 Sunscreen is the day moisturiser, complete with invisible (aka no white cast) sunscreen. It is made with Kalahari melon, a wild watermelon that’s rich in antioxidants and vitamins to help hydrate. It also has Niacinamide plus Hyaluronic acid & aloe to help hydrate, soothe, and condition and Baobab to hydrate.

In Australia, the SPF is classed as SPF15, given how strong our UV rays are. It is an oil-free, lightweight moisturiser that also forms the perfect base for makeup as you will see no pilling and zero flashback. This has been a huge issue for me over the past couple of years as I had been trying out different serums, moisturisers, and sunscreens. To lock in moisture, pre-prep for makeup, and get in a bit of invisible coverage in one is such a winner!

I hate pilling and had often found I’d have to take off my makeup and skincare and start over with other brands. What a waste of time and product! So, given that isn’t the case with Fenty Skin and the Hydra Vizor, I am in love! I still apply an SPF30 sunscreen on top, given the UV issues here but have been so happy with this one as a whole.

Instant Reset Overnight Recovery Gel Cream is a deeper moisturiser which helps to revive skin while you sleep so you can wake up with juicy, nourished and renewed skin. It is a rich gel-cream moisturiser that instantly hydrates, reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkles. The lightweight gel cream gets a boost from essential hyaluronic acid, and globally sourced Kalahari melon oil and Baobab support deep hydration, helping to lock in moisture for plumper-looking skin. With more use skin looks brighter and more even-toned, while elasticity, pores and dark spots look visibly improved.

Combining the key ingredients throughout the line to reduce the look of pores, dark spots, improve hydration and fight environmental stressors and shine, this one is the best of the best. I love how soothing the gel texture feels on the skin, it was exactly what I needed over the summer months to reset my skin overnight. It is also scented but not too heavily, meaning I wasn’t kept awake by the scent- something I have found with some overnight creams.

Finally, I was also recently given the Flash Nap Instant Revival Eye Gel-Cream and the Eye Massage Tool to try out. You can purchase these as a set or just go for the Eye Gel-Cream. I must admit I am in love with that massage tool! It is so cooling and feels amazing. The perfect way to apply the gel-cream, which is also cooling instantly. This one was created to reduce puffiness and dark circles and makes for a concealer primer during the day. It doesn’t pill under makeup either.

Lightweight, non-greasy cooling gel-cream texture instantly hydrates, restores and soothes while absorbing quickly. Reduces the look of fine lines, wrinkles, & crow’s feet—both instantly and over time. Again, I have loved this little tube! It is a great addition to the line. Personally, I have always had issues with low sleep, puffy eyes and now those fine lines so I was all too happy to start using this one. It feels so nourishing and I love that it isn’t oily nor too heavy either.
