The flattering hue that pairs so well with neutrals for the transition in weather and looks amazing in summer.
OH HI!
It’s been a while since I shared a colour focus post. Actually, it’s been a while between blog posts at all! Sorry. I’ve been sick for over three weeks and it took a lot out of me. I’ve been in bed sleeping up to 18 hours a day! Kind of on the mend now so I am ready to get stuck back in.
We also had a few days hanging out with my parents who came to visit, so I showed them around and had a bit of a mini-break (complete with me carrying a tissue box everywhere I went! haha). One of those nights we did a quick camping stay up north too. I’m not entirely sure I was well enough, as I ended up sleeping the entire drive home. However, it was really nice to get away and wake up to a fresh place. It’s something I’d love to do a bit more over the warmer months, though mostly down south. The north coast is beautiful but holds less appeal for me. I miss lots of trees!
EMBRACE COLOUR: WHY I AM WEARING PISTACHIO
In general, I tend to stick to a neutral colour palette but I love to embrace colour here and there. It’s obvious if you flick through my Instagram feed @inspiringwit that there are definitely pops of colour here and there. Pistachio or even mint aren’t colours I really thought about. Until recently that is. Now, I’ve managed to snare a twin crop top and skirt set as well as this blazer in the minty/ pistachio hue. To be honest, usually when I embrace a colour I adopt it in a bunch of ways, so it’s likely I will soon expand this micro collection just a bit more. Below is my pistachio edit, complete with dresses, bags, and more.

HOW I AM WEARING PISTACHIO AND MINT
The way I see it, pistachio is more yellow tone in hue but lighter than a sage and mint has more of a blue undertone. Just to clarify what I am talking about here! I love both but probably find I skew more to the warmer tone options personally, just for my skin tone. How am I wearing these colours? Naturally, I am adding them to my looks as a pop of colour amongst neutrals. But, I also love these green tones with gold, pearl and shell jewelry, tortoiseshell accessories, straw details or natural rope for summer (particularly for bags or sandals), and snake print.

Thank you by the way for baring with me while I have been off sick. I think it made a huge difference this time for me to actually take time out to recover. Even if I did get better then worse again! haha, good times. I have a lot of fun posts to come in the catch-up across beauty, fashion and travel. More soon. xx Jenelle
