Taking cream, white and beige tones into spring.
To say that I am more than thrilled to notice some warmer days, sun blanketing our balcony is an understatement. Winter, though it has been admittedly mild is coming to a close. Actually, escaping to South Africa for a few weeks where we were met with up to 30 degree sunny winter days was kind of amazing! All in all, winter has done me pretty well.
Nonetheless, I am excited to get back to my dresses, to light layers, linens and cute crop tops with high waisted jeans. Spring is my favourite season. It makes me so happy! With that in mind, this look is all about neutrals and finding fresh ways to wear them. This Not-So Neutrals edit over on Shopbop has definitely got me adding a few key updates to my wishlist. Besides the usual gold & pearl jewelry, warm neutrals, black staple pieces, I’ve also been eyeing off more snake print, croc-embossed leathers, and touches of white. Not only for spring, these are beautiful for any time of the year.
CREAM, WHITE, BEIGE OUTFIT IDEA
While I invested in beige tones for autumn (see back here), wore cream and black over and over (see here) and cream head to toe (click over to this look), this white, cream and beige combo is a fresh look for spring. I have a certain appetite for cute white tops to wear with jeans, this linen puff sleeve number from Reformation being the latest. It’s just SO cute!! While I had in mind to pair it with silk midi skirts and blue jeans, I loved this cream pants combo. What do you think? For me, it felt light, fresh and simple enough for a nice spring day.

DON’T BE AFRAID OF CREAM OR WHITE PANTS
These cream jeans have certainly gotten a lot of wear this past few months, as I teamed them with almost everything. To think for the longest time, I avoided cream or white pants, assuming they would make me look bigger. I’ve since expanded my cream or white bottoms collection into linen shorts, cosy jogger pants, denim jeans, and linen pants. They are all so versatile!
The trick to finding a pair that flatter your body, rather than cling in the wrong places comes down to trial and error, quality of fabric and at times sizing up to make sure they sit right. Trust me, I think they are worth the hunt! The pair I have on here are a little too big on me now, having lost weight over my trip and the month of being sick after it. So, the hunt is on for me again to find an alternate pair. Wish me luck!
SIDENOTE ON MY HAIR:
Not related to this outfit idea at all, I just wanted to mention some of the hair products I’ve been using lately that have been keeping it glossy, enhancing the waves and calming my scalp! I tend to have an irritated scalp, then get frizzy flyaways. So, this year I’ve been using a lot of specialised Aveda products which I ordered through Adore Beauty or Mecca. I’ll go into a full product run down post next time, but thought I’d make mention.
Have you got any hair concerns? I’d love to hear if anyone else has had much luck calming an irritated scalp. That has felt like an ongoing battle for me. Need help calming frizz? I’d love to hear what you might have tried or gone through with your hair. Please let me know below.
