8 THINGS I LOVED IN MAY

May and the 8 things I loved across the sunny autumn month.

8 THINGS I LOVED IN MAY

Alright so May has already come and gone, I had a couple of boring days with my ankle elevated after I clumsily twisted it but for the most part it’s been a beautiful 26 degrees and sunny. So all in all, a perfect month with lots of walks out in the sun. I overdid it on treats this month, so I have to make sure I cut back. Not so many!!

CAMEL AND OLIVE

Two colour tones have been dominant this past month. I’ve noticed I’m sticking mostly to camel and olive tones, even over my usual favourites like navy and grey. Perfect to pair with tortoiseshell accessories and gold metallics, I can not stop wearing either!

RE-ORGANISING

Since I have gotten a few new coats and puffy jackets for winter, I found the space in my wardrobe was getting more squishy. There was only one obvious solution! To take out the dresses and tops that I don’t think I’ll be wearing and pop them away in storage. To be honest after my big clear out last year, I didn’t have much of anything in storage until now. Just having that little bit of extra room makes a huge difference. I’ve done the same thing with my sandals and summer shoes. My shelf unit almost looks bare. Plus I’ve been able to find a couple of coats and knits that I could donate. Now is the time to do so if you can, there are people out there who need to stay warm. May was warm but the nights are cold.

P.E NATION

As you might have seen I got new workout gear from P.E Nation this month and I’ve been loving it! More on that is over on the blog post here.

SHARING PHONE SNAPS/ PERSONAL PICS

Rather than only share outfit posts and such on my Instagram, I’ve been experimenting a little here and there with sharing phone pics and a few personal pics. Purely in the interests of mixing things up. Do you like to see a mixture?

ROCKETMAN

We got to go to a premiere screening of Rocketman last week and have been playing the soundtrack and talking about it since. I’m obsessed! It was an awesome film and I can’t wait to go again. If you have seen it, let me know what you thought below!

NEW IN FRAGRANCES

Jo Malone London is one of my favourites. Over the past month, I’ve been trying out an Orange Blossom hair mist and two fragrances that I am loving. Cade & Cedarwood plus the Willow & Amber colognes are absolutely dreamy!

AVEDA HAIR PRODUCTS

The reason my hair has been looking a little smoother is that I got an amazing delivery of Aveda products. I’ve used a few of their products for the last year and a half but I’m also trying out some new ones. They are just beautiful. I’ll have to share more in a specialized post up here for a rundown product by product. Have you ever used Aveda?

Last but not least, hmmm, the eighth thing is probably…

QT PERTH STAYCATION

I could probably also just say ‘taking time off and relaxing’ but last weekend we had a two-night staycation at the QT Perth Hotel and loved it. I’ll go into more details on the stay and hotel once I’ve worked my way through the photos we shot. But for now, the bath was beautiful, we chilled and watched a couple of movies, walked around the city in the sun and had some great food.
