MY 6 ONLINE SHOPPING TIPS FOR CYBER WEEK 2018

Massive deals are to be had this week as Cyber Week kicks off for 2018. The biggest retail day of the year, Black Friday (this Friday the 23rd of November) is the perfect time to save money on Christmas Gifts, luxury items and purchases you will love and cherish in years to come. Over the weekend stores will be running ongoing deals, and Cyber Monday (the 26th of November) equally offers some great deals.

As a regular online shopper, I am here to help with my savvy tips on how to make sure you get the best deals. Don’t miss out on what you want and make sure you don’t make any mistake buys with my tips.

All this week I will be sharing blog posts with the sale codes and my picks of the online retailers I regularly shop from and love. Across women’s fashion, beauty, men’s fashion and more. There will be plenty to choose from for a range of budgets. I can’t wait to share this with you, so keep checking back regularly for all of the details.

MAKE YOUR WISHLIST

Work out what you really need or want before you even look at any stores! I am not kidding! Ask yourself if you are missing anything that you would really use and love and would ideally like to buy on sale. Go through your home, beauty cupboard and wardrobe and narrow down anything missing adding it to a wishlist.

SIGN UP FOR MEMBERSHIPS OF FAVOURITE ONLINE RETAILERS

If you plan to shop online (and avoid the madness of your local shops like I plan to), it is a good idea to sign up to become a member of any of your favourite online retailers. Signing up, you can enter your shipping details to make transactions faster in case you are in a hurry when your desired purchase goes on sale. Not only that, the biggest perk of being a member is that you can sometimes get early sale access and notifications for further discounts. You can also login and save or add items to your wishlist, so you can find it quickly when the sales go live. If your wishlist or saved item is low in stock or has been re-stocked, you will get a notification. It’s the best way to get what you want and not miss out on your size or style.

APPLY FILTERS WHEN SHOPPING

If you filter fashion items by size, colours, price range or fabric, it can save you a lot of time when shopping online. It can also save you from buying something in a colour or size that isn’t quite what you were after just because it is on sale. All reputable online stores are also able to help you by answering any questions, so think about asking any you might have before the sales start. Before the sales start is also a good time to read over any Terms and Conditions of sale to make sure you can return and refund an item. Just in case!

SEARCH FOR SALE CODES

Bloggers, such as myself are often clued into sale codes early, so it is worth searching for sale codes so you can find the best deals. As I said above, keep checking back this week for more sale codes and my picks for the best things on sale. I’ve made it my mission to try out a lot of online stores to make sure they are trustworthy and reliable so you don’t have to worry. Follow your favourite online stores on social media or subscribe to e-newsletters for updates on sale codes.

MAKE A BUDGET

Of course, this time of year leading into the holiday season is never easy on finances. This is why it is best to create a budget before you shop and stick to it. Think about your upcoming spending for Christmas, travels and your everyday lifestyle and factor all of that in. Know what your limits are. Bare in mind added costs to online shopping like shipping fees, exchange rates and import taxes. Make that part of your spending budget when you are adding things to your cart.

BE ON THE BALL

Be ready to commit to your purchase or miss out and be okay with that too. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are two days where stock flies out of the warehouses. If something you wanted is sold out, make sure to check back on it, as people often add items to their carts which generally reserves them for 30 minutes. Often those items get re-added, so you might be lucky. If you really missed out, check back a week or two later in case your item is returned.
