Three chic party outfits for the Christmas parties this week (or a preview of New Years Eve!).
It is certainly that time of year, I am talking more about party outfits than ever and I have more to share with you this week. Some will hopefully inspire your own party looks or help you to find something to wear for the holidays or even New Years Eve.
THIS YEAR CHANGED ME
The reason I have been wanting to celebrate a lot more these last few months has been thanks to (and bare with me here, this will sound weird), my experience with losing my beloved Nana. Not only that huge personal loss but being reminded of how our time here is something we can not predict or entirely bank on has come up a lot recently. It sounds cryptic, but to explain, there have been other losses either in my friends or family members lives which were all too sad to ignore. While those aren’t my stories to tell, when someone you care for loses someone they love, it is hard not to feel that pain too. When this happens a few times in the span of weeks, I guess it is only natural to want to hold on to the relationships you love and celebrate these and the smaller wins around you.
So this is why I am wanting to make the most of the best things and celebrate. Without further ado…
3 CHIC PARTY OUTFITS
The following three looks are some that really, I’d probably not dress down, which is a rare thing for me. As I wrote a week or so ago here, I tend to dress down anything. However, there is something nice about actually getting completely dressed up and feeling both elegant and special.
A STATEMENT JUMPSUIT
This beautiful jumpsuit from Keepsake the Label not only won me over with its statement bow detail but it had one other massive drawcard. Can you guess? Pockets!
THE LITTLE NAVY DRESS
Giving black party outfits a little break for a change, navy is one of my favourite colours to wear. It feels sophisticated and French, which naturally I love. The lace ruffle and detail on this beautiful navy dress, again from Keepsake the Label, also has an extra loop for the arm which you can see on the model if you click on the link. Can you tell I got dressed in a hurry here? I completely missed that loop and didn’t realise till I saw it again on the model. Haha. I guess you can wear it both ways.
THE WHITE JUMPSUIT AND METALLIC HEELS
Wearing all white just feels so fresh! I loved this jumpsuit, from Australian high street store Saba. Saba is one place that several friends in Adelaide took me to recently when looking for party outfits. Clearly, it was a popular spot. This jumpsuit (and admittedly a couple of other styles from their High Summer 17 collection) took my fancy. The metallic heels are also from Saba and reminded me of the shoes I tend to see on Parisian women for their party outfits.
