A classic 90’s Silk Laundry slip dress, the colour of the moment (yellow) and a little barefoot walk through the sand dunes. Exploring Lancelin in a new editorial that will have you longing for summer.
WE INTERRUPT THE USUAL BLACK SLIP DRESS POSTS WITH THIS!!
haha, well, to be fair, I do wear a lot of black slip dresses and share them all the time. No doubt, you will have noticed! However, though one of my prefered dress styles of choice, I love slip dresses in other colours too.
Yellow, is one of my favourite options, so when I saw this stunning dandelion hue on Silk Laundry, I could not wait to wear it. Different? Yes, but entirely wearable too.
The bias cut silk dress falls flatteringly across the body and feels like a dream. These dresses are made from the most incredible silk, they feel amazing. Perfect for events, these slip dresses are elegant, understated and work perfectly with leather moto jackets, simple blazers or velvet blazers. Or, as it turned out here, barefoot walking across the sand dunes works too. :)
Before you go asking, as I know there will be questions, we shot this editorial out at Lancelin. An hour and a half drive north of Perth, the coastal town of Lancelin backs onto these sand dunes which I had been longing to visit. If you are looking for something different to explore, this is certainly a beautiful spot. As for the dress, I will likely share a proper look at this Silk Laundry number again, shoes and all shortly. Stay tuned!
