REALISATION PAR THE ALEXANDRA DUSTY BLUE SPOT DRESS
It is really no secret that I am a huge fan of these Realisation Par dresses. You have seen them on my Instagram and here on Inspiring Wit time and again (in fact, if you have missed any of the looks, find the links to each blog post below). Everyone is always asking me about them. A number of my friends have these dresses too and I feel like we are always talking about them!
Clearly, the popularity has yet to die down for Realisation Par. In fact, more of you than ever find your way onto Inspiring Wit looking for Realisation Par dresses. So, I thought it was about time I shared my latest dress. Before you ask, no, I am not at all paid to talk about them. I wish! haha
SALE CODES AND DELIVERY
To save $$, I generally wait until the sale days- when Vogue’s online shopping night or cyber week rolls around and place an order for a couple of dresses at once. The postage costs are steep so the sale codes tend to knock a bit of the cost down and buying more than one saves in postage fees. The postage is via a courier and very quick thank goodness! Each dress arrives in about a week or less.
FABRIC AND SIZING
The silks are beautiful and they feel so light and fun to wear. Of course, wrap dress styles do tend to fly up in all directions in a gust of wind, so you may find yourself sharing a little more than you bargained for! Roll with it! I can guarantee that I have never been in a bad mood while wearing one of these fun dresses. The Alexandra dress is not lined, but it is not sheer. I give them a light steam to take out the creases from postage and are good to go! They also seem not hold onto creases when travelling or during wear. They roll up small so I end up packing all of them on my travels!
Sizing wise, I got the Alexandra dress in the XS. My other Realisation Par dresses I had ordered in size small but found (and this is probably obvious) they were quite roomy in the bust area for me. For the record, I avoid bras or tend to wear training bras (aka the ones you get as a tween) I imagine I’d be an A cup. I am a size 6 in Australian sizing which is a US size 2. I could probably size down in the wrap styles to an XXS, but I don’t mind them being a little loose on. The wrap style makes it fairly adjustable, but the Ozzie Dress I had to get altered to fit me better.
A lot of people have said that the biggest difference between the sizing is in the length, but all five of the Realisation Par dresses I have worn in either size S or XS are the same length.
As always, I would love to hear from you guys! Love these dresses? A bit over them? Let me know! Got any questions about them? Fire away! Leave me your questions below, or as many of you do, DM me on Instagram @inspiringwit.
