The printed red dress has to be one of the most worn staples in my arsenal and one that easily boosts confidence.

Just before I hit the old blue publish button on my 2017 in review post for Inspiring Wit, I thought I should post up at least one of the poor sods that ended up doomed to stay in the draft folder for over three months. Hmm, well, truth be told, I shot this look in the middle of a frosty winter afternoon. It was SO not the right time of year to be kicking about in a tea dress and bare legs. However, smack bang in the middle of summer, months on, it is one of my go-to looks.
THE PRINTED RED DRESS
The printed red dress has become one of the staples of my personal style. At last count, I had three in my closet and probably constantly have another three on my wish list. Besides wearing them in cold weather while visiting the library (one of the coolest buildings in Perth), these are staples that I mostly leave the house in without a jacket or a care in the world. Perfect to dress up with a heel or wear with any combination of simple slides, flats, sneakers or boots, they are so easy to style.
Since red is naturally the most eye-catching hue, it simply makes you feel more bold, confident and daring. If I am ever needing to add an extra spring in my step a printed red dress does the trick. Red sunglasses or lipstick help with this too. Sometimes people say fake it till you make it and I think at least if you aren’t feeling as confident as you need to be for the day, a red dress will certainly help put you in the mood.
Black and gold accessories are just an easy addition to style it all up and complete the look.
