Spilling some not-so-pretty truths about my personality and something I NEVER thought I would wear. (Plus how to wear it!)

THE TRUTH HURTS
While it may not entirely come as a surprise (if you have been following along with Inspiring Wit for some time), I have to confess that I am a bit of a music snob. Yeah, I admit it.
I am literally that person who will reach over and change the channel in the car until I find a better song on the radio no matter who I upset. While I am generally polite (and at times, OVER POLITE), when it comes to music, I am relentless. If I can’t get away from a song I have dubbed terrible, I am a complete grouch. It isn’t pretty.
IN ROCK AND ROLL CHIC WE TRUST
Music is the thing that lifts my mood and gets me through the day. I have one of my playlists/ CD’s (yeah, I still buy them!) going constantly and love finding new things from around the world to add to it. Most of my music would fit into somewhat of a classic rock category, though, not all of it. Classical music was always big for me growing up, so I listen to a lot of that too. Particularly if I need to write and can’t have lyrics distracting me (non-English music helps with this too). In general, though, rock and roll has always played a huge part in my life and has an influence on my personal style. Be it wearing a lot of black, leather, studded things, band tees, blazers and a little too much smokey eye makeup, I have certainly worn it all. And, still, do.

ONE THING I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD WEAR
This is why I never thought I’d find myself wearing a Whitney Houston t-shirt! Truth be told, I have been playing a fair share of Whitney Houston’s classic hits lately. So never say never. I admit, I have also been listening to a lot of Dolly Parton and have Dollywood marked on my US travel bucket list. :) Has anyone been?! Please let me know if you have! I’m fascinated!
Above, I have found a bunch of similar diva graphic tees along with some of my picks of the best rock tees out there at the moment. I know that Gucci is doing some luxe ACDC etc options, but to be honest, I love that band tees can make a personal splash without costing too much. You can literally wear your heart on your sleeve or your music choices over your chest. I always reach for band tees and have done all my life. Literally, there are pics of this from the 80’s in the photo albums at my folk’s place. I might share one or two throwbacks over on the Inspiring Wit Facebook wall. So be sure to take a look. :)
Does music influence your personal style? Who have you been playing lately? Let me know!
