In case you need proof, allow me to wear this midi skirt over and over again until you decide, yes, it really is a good investment!
When I love something, I really love it. Take strawberries for example. I think most people who ever spend much time with me learn that I don’t like lollies but I go mad for strawberries. Always have done, always will do.
When it comes to the things I collect like a little bowerbird, the same thing is true. Gold jewellery? I add just a little more a few times a year and before I know it, I have a collection. Black ankle boots? My main staple! Birkenstock Arizona’s? I have four pairs. Printed silk wrap dresses? Let’s not talk about my collection… there are a LOT.
THE MIDI SKIRT I COULD WEAR EVERYDAY
So, when I get to love a new thing, I find myself drawn to tracking down a few variations of that one thing. This silk slip midi skirt from Anine Bing was definitely destined to be in my collection. I talked about the Naomi Wild Things Realisation Par slip skirt back here and again here. It was inevitable that I’d add a classic black alternative to my collection.
SO MUCH ANINE BING
This year I have definitely added a number of Anine Bing pieces into my wardrobe. The vintage style tees are my favorite, and you have seen me in them time and again. There just might be another waiting for me for Christmas too! Excited! I’ve also added a couple of her blazers and cami tops to my collection not to mention this midi skirt. Like I said when I love something…! The re-wearable nature and rock and roll vibes of her collections get me again and again.
FOR THE LOVE OF SLIP MIDI SKIRTS
Anine Bing has a few variations of these skirts. I’ve also spotted slip skirts from the likes of Free People (this one is under $80 and will sell out fast!), fellow LA labels Vince and re:named with animal print skirts (another steal at $50). Perfect to wear with cami tops, button-down shirts, tees or a big old cosy knit, I love their versatility! The length feels chic and comfortable. If you aren’t so keen on the cut, I’ve spotted some with a side slit to break it up a bit too. Wear with ankle boots, sneakers or summery slides. I’ve been wearing all kinds of combinations.
