In the interests of baring all, I thought I would share my every day beauty routine, broken down for you.
STEP ONE: CLEANSE / TONE / MOISTURIZE
First of all, I cleanse, tone and moisturise my skin, generally using a natural skincare range, I love Kora Organics and at the moment have been trying the new Iluka range. Obviously looking after your skin is really important, so cleaning it properly every morning and night is vital.
STEP TWO: PREP
I then dab on a little bit of the Ilkua Fine Line Eye Serum mainly because I am trying this out at the moment- I generally leave eye creams for over night, but this one is a serum, so it is not a heavy formula. Then I will prime the skin with the Iluka Illuminating Pearl Primer. I love this one because it has a beautiful illuminating sheen thanks to the pearls and does not make my skin feel oily or dry.
STEP THREE: BASE
The next step is to paint on the foundation, I have only used it for a few weeks but the Loreal True Match Foundation is really good, I love that it is inexpensive but performs better than some of the foundations I have tried which are double the price. I also like the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation. I use a foundation brush which I then clean and leave on the window sill to dry in the sun.
STEP FOUR: HIGHLIGHT / CONCEAL
After this I dot on and blend the YSL Touche Eclat in a triangle under my eyes, a little on the centre of my nose and if it is looking a little red- along either side of my nose. This both conceals and brightens the areas- hiding dark circles and redness.
STEP FIVE: BROWS
Finally it is brow time! I love bold brows so I fill them in with the Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil, shaping with the brush attached. Some times to set them I will then lightly sweep a little Loreal Brow Artist Plumper– this sets them in place nicely.
STEP SIX: CONTOUR/ BRONZE / BLUSH
I contour lightly with the Nars Bronzer in Laguna, in the rule of three’s under the cheekbone, along the jaw and the hair line. Next I sweep the Nars Blush in Orgasm across the apples of my cheeks and along the cheek. I bought the Nars bronzer and blush duo- so I could have both in one handy storage/ travel size, find it here. Finally to illuminate above the cheek I use a little of the Illuminator from the Hourglass Ambient Powder Wardrobe Palette. The palette was a limited edition for Christmas with two existing colours and a new one, all of which are seriously beautiful. I thought about getting this for a while but have had compliments on my makeup each day since I began using it, so I guess it is working.
STEP SEVEN: EYES
For my eyes I have a couple of Chanel palettes, I line the top lid with the Stila Waterproof Eyeliner and lashes with either Chanel Intimitable Intense, Maybelline Colossal Volume Mascara or the Loreal Million Lashes Waterproof Mascara if need be.
STEP EIGHT: SET
For my lip and nail colour recommendations follow through to this link. That is about it. If you think I should do a video post, feel free to encourage me below in the comments, I am so on the fence about doing one! Do you watch any you can recommend?
