Sartorially this year I revisited my capsule wardrobe and found that years on it had held its own, along with newer pieces I had added back in. From here I talked about investment pieces and re-wore a lot of items that you will have seen before because I am nothing if not a repeat offender and proud of it.
One thing toward the last part of the year that you will have noticed is that my fellow Perth based style and fashion blogger Emily (@shedoesstyle) and I have been shooting some looks together. The running joke had been for some time that we often rocked up in a variation of the same outfit, so it was meant to be. Of course, we both think we dress very differently (a keen eye will easily pick up that Emily is a lot more trendy than me).
In May I went to MBFWA in Sydney and checked out some of the new collections for the Australian Resort Season. One cool thing we did was shoot a couple of editorials with Kaliver, which was probably the most colour I wore all year but I completely loved styling and shooting those.
Honestly I am not sure I would bother going again next year, but I did enjoy meeting a heap of bloggers I’d been following for years and it was nice to see what it was all about.
Through the year I shared travel diaries from Morocco, Italy, Spain, France, Australia and Malaysia. I travelled with AirAsia to Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi, visited Adelaide and went on road trips up to the Coral Coast and down to Margaret River.
So far for 2017 we have only booked a trip back to Adelaide for the Womad Festival (world music festival in case you were curious) but you never know what will happen!
Mid year we said goodbye to our cottage and moved into a brand new apartment. It is pretty small so we got rid of many things we do not need. Suits me because I fancy myself to be a bit of a minimalist (as much as I can be as a fashion blogger- I get the irony, trust me!). Reducing what I have feels so good and it truly makes me really consider the things that I choose to bring in.
On a professional level we swapped agencies, after speaking with a few, we decided to work with the girls at Ministry of Talent, who have been nothing short of excellent to work with. They are the perfect people for us to partner with as Roxy Jacenko, the founder of MOT, is an inspiration and all of her team work very hard.

FINAL WORD & THANK YOU!
I want to extend a humongous thank you for all of you for reading, commenting and following along this year. When I am asked why I blog, the first thing that comes to mind is that it enables me to connect with people in a way I can not do on a regular basis in person. This year I have met numerous incredible bloggers, worked with so many brands and companies I love, fit in some travel and went to fashion week. We kicked some goals I had been working toward for many years and I am seriously excited to get stuck into the new year.
Thank you to everyone who I photographed with and worked with, you guys are gems! A huge thank you to the man behind the scenes, Mario who kindly gives so much time and patience to work on Inspiring Wit.
Bring on 2017! Who’s excited?
