For me, it is a chance to take time out of my morning (generally I run early), clear my mind, listen to music and feel a little freedom. I think less about my work or other hassles. Actually, it typically allows me to refocus and come back with a new perspective. I am the most motivated to run when it is another excuse to get outside in a beautiful place- along a park, a quiet area, a beach or lake. Heading into Christmas, keeping on top of the workouts can be touch and go, but you will kick yourself later if you stop. I’ll run if you do! Deal?!
My best tip is not to overthink it, instead just get outside and go!
