The 2018 Christmas Gift Guide for women, men, lifestyle, kids and teen ideas. I’ve scoured to find the best value gift ideas that I know you will love. To follow, my Perth and beauty guides will be out soon!
2018 CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE
Every single year without fail, Christmas creeps up on me before I have even really realised it is suddenly December. Still, deny it all I want, we are some weeks away from the night before and the morning of Christmas. I’ll admit, this year I am pretty organised for it.
Today I want to share the first of my Christmas Gift guides for 2018. Something I love to share each year and admittedly, some of my most viewed posts. All of the products I am recommending I have either been given as samples, loaned or I’ve bought. It’s been over a month in the making to find the right gift ideas, none of this is sponsored, I wanted to find the best gifts so you can save some research time and gift well.
This year in addition to women’s and men’s gifts, I have included kids and teen ideas. We always end up buying nieces and nephews gifts so I thought I’d pop that in here too. I’ve also naturally got plenty of beauty gift ideas and local gifts for Perth in some posts to come.
To start with this year, I’ve got books, beautiful fashion pieces and accessories that so many women will love.
Jewellery: These are some of my favourite brands for stunning jewellery that will be worn for years to come.
Luv Aj Gold Hoops. Luv Aj have so many cool gold pieces, earrings and necklaces to layer with.
VOA Fine Jewellery X Jo Hombsh Earrings. These amazing J Hoop baroque pearl drop earrings are just gorgeous and they were designed by my beautiful friend Jo with VOA. The entire collection is stunning.
Murkani gold earrings. Most days I won’t leave the house without at least one piece on from Murkani. They have amazing statement earrings and beautiful necklaces for layering. Spot me wearing some of their silver hoops below.
I have a huge guide to come featuring amazing beauty products as gifts for Christmas. Rather than make this post super long, I’ve decided to split the guide up and share the beauty edit separately. Still, expect stocking stuffers like the Bourjois blush pots (from the limited edition Riviera Collection) and plenty of The Body Shop gift packs.
Johnny Was is a vintage-inspired bohemian brand that I feel reminds me of long summer days in relaxed fits and light layers. I know so many women who love a robe or kimono and embroidered bohemian blouses that they make such a nice gift. This velvet cami top is perfect to gift a girl who loves wearing jeans and a nice top to get dressed up.
Hemant & Nandita Silk blouse – I absolutely loved the detail of this beautiful, bohemian luxe top. It’s perfect for a Christmas party with jeans.
Paige Jeans – One of my go-to brands for cool, a bit rock and roll inspired and comfortable jeans.
Outland Denim – You will see me wearing Outland a couple of times within my gift guides this year. Why? The Australian denim brand are committed to sourcing the most ethically and environmentally sound raw materials, from organic cotton pocket linings to recycled packaging, and endeavour to verify their entire supply chain in alignment with the world’s best practices. I can see why Meghan Markle was spotted in them during their Australian tour.
Saba – Every time I shop with friends they all go in and end up buying things from Saba (see more back here). A trusted Australian label, they make a good gift voucher idea! Below I am wearing a very sleek olive green knit dress from the latest collection, perfect for elegant Christmas parties.
Allure South Sea Pearls – I’ll go into more in my Perth gift guide, but these beautiful pearl pieces are from my favourites at Allure South Sea Pears. A luxury and timeless gift idea! Of course, learn more about Allure and their hometown of Broome in my last post here.
This year I made it my mission to reconnect with reading. I’ve made my way through about three books a month. They make the best gifts, I truly think you can find something for everyone and lord knows now we need more off-screen time than ever before.
Becoming Michelle Obama and Lessons Giesele Bunchen are brand spanking new but already on the best-seller lists. I just bought both and haven’t cracked them yet but I am sure they will go interesting reads.
In Paris by Jeanne Damas – short interviews from Parisian locals that share quick and quirky insights into the city of love.
The Rosie Project by Graeme Simison was such a fun read that will surely be made into a rom-com soon. It’s too cute!
Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman was one that I had mixed emotions over because it is not your typical story, its much more than that!
All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr is another that I’ve yet to read but it has been highly recommended.
The Beauty Chef by Carla Oats had been on my list for a while, I’ve been using the Glow Powder for years. After attending a talk with Carla and being able to meet her and chat, I got home and ordered this beautiful cookbook right away!
Plant Society by Jason Chongue is a beautiful and minimal coffee table book for anyone who has adopted indoor plants and needs tips on keeping them healthy!
When it comes to men’s gifts, I can find myself scratching my head, wondering what will really be appreciated. Sometimes it is a surprise to learn what they actually want or use! Hopefully, these ideas take out some of the guesswork!
Godiva Chocolate Bauble and Assortments Box – This will be demolished in about five minutes, but it’s a good starter! I think they make a good present idea for everyone, so this isn’t just for men!
Police Sunglasses – These classic navy frames are perfect for summer. Lightweight and a little bit different being navy, they are pretty sharp on too.
Oreo Personalised Cookie Tins – Who wouldn’t want one of these fun tins!? Now only $10ea as well!
Industrie Gift Voucher – I love Industrie for plain linen or cotton shirts, linen blazers, shorts and basic tees. They are reasonably priced and reliable too.
Mercedes Benz Cologne – This one just seemed like a fun one for any man who might be into a touch of luxury.
Potterybarn Bar Tools Set – I just bought this one for Mario as a belated birthday gift and he was so excited! These are the kind of elegant tool sets you will actually want to display.
Microsoft Surface Pro – We have been using one of these little beauties for a few months now. They are versatile, you can get the pen to draw directly on them and it is so light that it is handy for travel. Tech gifts are always handy!
Myth Dapper Wrapper – Perfect to travel with and avoid tangling cords- this is one handy wrap that I think I will also be borrowing!
Myth 28L Backpack – Laptop backpacks can be so hit and miss in the design, key things like making sure the laptop will be secure from all sides is important to us when we travel. Mario loved this backpack! It’s designed to suspend the laptop to provide impact protection and it has a cable routing system so devices can be connected easily. Plus it stores a lot!
KID'S AND TEEN GIFTS
This is the first time I’ve included kids gifts for the Inspiring Wit Christmas Gift Guides but I end up having the most fun buying kids gifts. They can be tricky because lord knows a lot of kids want specific things and they sell out fast. Plus, many don’t need more toys than they have!
Godiva Chocolate Bear Box – This one is just a cute sweet treat!
Disney Princess Story Book Perfume – How cute is this little perfume set? It comes in a storybook collectible tin.
Where’s Wally Books – I remember spending hours looking through these books which are also encouraging for kids who have trouble reading to get a taste of books and not feel like they are missing out.
Nevermoor by Jessica Townsend – A new bestseller series that I was given earlier this year. It’s aimed at kids but the fantasy novel had me hooked and I am ready for book two!
Lego Ninjago and Disney Princess Build Your Own Adventure Book sets – Kids are always obsessed with Lego and since I am always trying to encourage them to read or be read to, this is such a good combination. You get Lego pieces to build and the storybook.
Oreo Cookie Tin – Same as above, this one is a cute kid’s treat!
These are all things that could be personalised to male or female so I thought I’d add them to a lifestyle category! I love gifting things for the home or office. Useful and practical gifts can be great when you just don’t want to waste money on something that won’t get much use! Nobody has time for that!
Papier 2019 Diary and Notecards sets – I adore anything personalised, in case you hadn’t noticed already and have a few stationary pieces from UK brand Papier. The range is endless so you can easily find something to suit all personalities. This collection is a collaboration with Australian fashion label Romance Was Born and I love how fun the prints are!
Ecostore Cleaning Products – Okay, so maybe cleaning products are not the most exciting gifts but after all the research, testing and trialing Mario and I have done of natural cleaning products, Ecostore are our favourites. We have now almost used everything in the range and I tell you what, this is actually a gift we would be excited to open! It is so important for us that we don’t use nasty cleaning chemicals in our house, to clean our clothes or dishes with. I could probably create an entire post about these and how to properly care for your clothes!
Skin by Ecostore – Naturally, because of this, we were both excited to hear Ecostore had released a range of natural, cruelty-free skincare products too. We always take forever at the health food shops picking out natural body washes and so on, so I am excited to grab this travel set and try these products out.
Mapiful – Personalised maps are the coolest idea! You can pick wherever you like to custom design a map to have printed and these arrive super fast. I chose Paris, zooming in on the areas I love most so I can always glance over and picture myself back there.
Grace Laptop Sleeve – Minimal, in a range of colours, these laptop sleeves offer plenty of cushioning to secure your laptop!
Lumira Candles – The Nuit de Noel Candle is a limited edition release for Christmas and I am in love! Brandy soaked-fruit notes are enhanced by a festive spice accord; clove, cinnamon and nutmeg rounded out with the warmth of black pepper. The icon of Christmas, the pine tree, blends seamlessly with amber, tonka and precious woods while a gently floral-aromatic heart calls to mind a freshly woven wreath on a heavy wooden door. Sounds amazing right?! It is!
If you have any questions on any of these, please ask away! My beauty and Perth local gift guides will be out shortly, so stay tuned for more! Happy Christmas shopping!
Don’t forget, with a lot of these to check the cut-off dates for international and national delivery. We are 20 days away from Christmas and the cut-off dates are getting closer now.
