This Friday and Sunday I will be walking the Telstra Perth Fashion Festival runway for Restyle. Along with the other official Restyle bloggers, we are joined by volunteers from the seven charity stores and ten selected participants who played along with the August style challenge.
I am definitely a little nervous, as a naturally clumsy person (I may somehow shuffle or trip myself off of the catwalk) but I think I have chosen the safest shoes to avoid this where possible. I think my two runway looks are actually kinda boss, and rather un-traditional PFF. You will just have to come and see on Friday or Sunday to find out which looks from the Restyle month I will be wearing.
Since I have no family here, I would really love for you to come and be my family support team! Don’t forget the shows are free and in the tent set up in Forrest Place (next to that weird cactus like statue). It will not go for ages so if you are working Friday, maybe negotiate an early lunch break? :)
In the lead up to the Telstra Perth Fashion Festival I thought I would share with you five of my planning tips to get show ready. These tips are transferable to getting ready for an event like a wedding, ball or big birthday party.
I am so excited to share with you that I was chosen to be a Style Ambassador for Clearly. As you will no doubt know, I always wear glasses or contacts as I am super blind. Obviously because of this, I naturally look for great eyewear that will reflect my style and ensure I feel confident. Having previously spent a small fortune on my glasses I could not believe the low prices of such great quality pieces from Clearly.
Last week I was fortunate enough to attend the launch of the Karrinyup SS14 Season and meet two of Australia’s hottest bloggers Elle Ferguson and Tash Sefton of They All Hate Us. Elle and Tash took us through a styling session before a meet and greet and the Karrinyup SS14 parade. Click on for some of the top looks of the new season and a video post from the night.
It has just been a little over two months since we got Inspiring Wit off of the ground, and for anyone who has been following, you will expect I only talk about fashion. Whilst that is the main topic you will find here, I also love to try out and review beauty products. I thought therefore that it was high time I share a little update with you. Today I am talking about the products currently in my handbag, skincare products from Grown Alchemist I have been trying, and a little trip to Alison Jade to smarten up my brows.
Over the past week I have been sharing ‘A week in my shoes’ on Instagram (@inspiringwit). I was kindly asked to be one of Clarks Australia’sStyle Ambassadors and chose these ‘Sarina Emma’ heeled sandals. I styled them each day in my typical fuss free and ready to go way (with a little elegant edge). If you have ever needed a versatile shoe to travel with (damn weight restrictions!), to reduce the number of shoes you have taking up your closet (guilty!) or which are comfortable and stylish enough to repeat wear, these are for you. Problems solved. Click on to see my full week with all outfits and adventures.
I can not think of many colours that are not in this jacket. I very rarely wear print these days, but just for the fun of a new season, I thought I would grab this collarless embroidered jacket and give it a go. Teamed with neutrals- of course!
We have come to the end of the month long Telstra Perth Fashion Festival Restyle 2014 Challenge! This has been one of my biggest blogging projects to date. I am so thankful for the opportunity and for your joining me. Today I am at home sorting through what to donate back. This entire rack is headed back to Vinnies and will soon be up for grabs! Click on for my tour of the Vinnies Osborne Park Depot, and a little video message…
